Watch this YouTube video and hear my transformation from a very sick, tired and nearly dead person… to the vibrant, energetic and loving person I am today.
My journey isn’t over yet but it sure is more enjoyable being healthy every day.
Follow your dreams – your healing begins now.
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease at 24 years of age. It took several years to diagnose my Crohn’s.
After years of suffering agonizing pain, discomfort surgeries and medication I thought this was going to be my life. I was so sick I didn’t think I would life past 30. For a young single parent of a growing boy this thought was devastating.
I took numerous medications prescribed to me, I was in and out of hospital and had several surgeries as needed. I was unaware of what was going on in my body and I blindly handed the care of my body to the health professionals looking after me. They knew more than me, right?
At 28, in 2003 I was in unbelievable pain and could not move. I had been bedridden for over two weeks and I was down to only eating a little bit of white rice. I had been through a lot of pain in the past however this pain was unlike anything else I had ever felt.
I managed to call my mum who picked me up and took me to the hospital. The pain was now unbearable that pain killers where the first thing I was given when I arrived at the Emergency Department.
After several hours of tests, they found that my bowels had in fact perforated! The contents of my bowels had leaked into my system poisoning my body and I had Peritonitis. I was them ambulanced to another hospital where my specialist was based. I was grateful on a Friday night for my specialist surgeon who undertook immediate emergency surgery on me. It was a Friday night – he should have been out drinking a glass of fine wine and relaxing.
During the surgery 8cm of my bowels were removed. I remained in hospital for over a week to recover.
I was lucky to be alive and if I had got there any later I wouldn’t have made it. To be told I nearly died brought everything into perspective for me. That’s when I decided to do something drastic before it happened again. From my bed I made some serious decisions. One being never to take medication again. It had not prevented this emergency. How would I be able to trust it again?
I began my search to find a cure for my own Crohn’s Disease. I simply introduced turmeric, fresh juices and wholefoods to my diet. I cut out dairy (I couldn’t resist cheese though), red meat and reduced the amount of chicken I ate. These simple changes where much easier on my digestive system and became a simple solution.
Over the next few years I cut out wheat and all gluten. I am human. I am not super strict on my regime but if I lapsed I would suffer with a lack of energy and the pain would return.
I felt an enormous difference. I didn’t have to run to the closest toilet after eating, I felt like I had more energy and truly felt better than ever in every way.
I started finding out more information on wholefoods. In 2015 I found a nutritional product which changed my life. I found a way to replenish my body with the high-quality nutrition of simple fruits, vegetables and berries in a capsule. Now nutrition went straight into my bloodstream within 7 minutes and my bowel didn’t have to process anything! Easy on my bowel – great for my system!
The results were instant and incredible. In a matter of weeks, high nutrition was in my blood and I regained the energy and vibrancy I’d lost in my 20’s.
I stumbled across a community who supported my new wholefood lifestyle. They were living a healthy life that I wanted. I embraced the community and a new way of life. A combination of support and personal development lifted me to a whole new level.
I hadn’t had a colonoscopy since my surgery in my 20’s. At 41 I was curious on what my results would be on my own natural remedy journey. The results came back 100% clear with no signs of Crohn’s Disease. I was astounded and quietly proud of myself.
Now I help others with auto-immune diseases to heal themselves. One day at a time.
Crohn’s disease is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), resulting in swelling and dysfunction of the intestinal tract. The inflammation causes swelling, redness, and loss of normal bowel function.
The immune system then attacks the body instead of helpfully attacking a foreign invader (a virus or bacteria, for example). Crohn’s is an auto-immune disease.
The inflammation of Crohn’s disease most commonly affects the last part of the ileum (a part of the small intestine), and often includes the large intestine (the colon). However, inflammation may also occur in other areas of the gastrointestinal tract, affecting the mouth, esophagus, or stomach depending on the person.
Some symptoms of Crohn’s disease include diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain, inability to eat, weight loss, and fatigue. Some patients have severe pain that is like appendicitis.
Crohn’s disease also limits the ability of the affected intestine to absorb the nutrients from food; a patient with Crohn’s disease can have signs of malnutrition, depending on the amount of intestine affected by the disease and the time of having Crohn’s.
The combination of severe inflammation, ulceration, and scarring that occurs in Crohn’s disease can result in serious complications, including obstruction, abscess formation, and fistula formation.
